In 1947 the Hunt family established the first travel company in Fiji.

“Hunts of the Pacific” group of companies operated the largest tour company in the South Pacific for almost 30 years. The founders, Iris and Harvey Hunt, retired to New Zealand in 1976 and that same year Travel Arrangements Ltd was formed in Auckland by their daughter Penny Hunt.

In keeping with family tradition, their son Ron Hunt launched Travel Arrangements “South Pacific”, Inc in California in 1992.

Travel Arrangements “South Pacific”, Inc, is a privately owned California Corporation and as a wholesale tour operator, specializes in providing customized vacation planning for individuals, special interest groups, and incentive programs, exclusively to the South Pacific region.

Ron Hunt was born in Fiji and educated in Sydney, Australia. His 44 years in travel and tourism management include, Hunts of the Pacific, Ansett Airlines, CP Air, Qantas, and American Airlines. He also served on the Board of the Fiji Visitors Bureau and opened the first Bureau office in the United States in 1982.

Ron’s wife and business partner Angie Hunt, was born in Austria and grew up in Toronto, Canada. She has 36 years experience in airline, tour wholesaling, communications and customer service.
